Mechanical Draftsman (Draftsman & Design Draftsman)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The work will comprise of the creation of engineering drawings of petrochemical equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, structures, mechanical machinery and replacement parts, to mention a few. Site measurements will be required to ensure that the equipment we design will fit on the existing interfacing equipment. The work may include working abnormal hours from time to time as determined by the work scheduling.

REQUIREMENTS:

•   Minimum Grade 12 with a mark of 50% minimum in Maths and Engineering Graphics and Design and/or National Engineering Diploma or Apprenticeship.
•   Design Draftsman with 5-8 years’ experience as mechanical draftsman, preferably in petrochemical or mining industries.
•   Draftsman with 2-5 years’ experience as mechanical draftsman, preferably in petrochemical or mining industries.
•   Experience in the use of MicroStation and Inventor is essential and will be tested.
•   Proficient in MS Office.
•   Leadership and organizational skills, be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter.
•   Good communication skills in the English language.
•   Be able to work under pressure.
•   Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
•   Own transport is preferred.
