REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of M-Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering with major subjects in either Finite Element Analysis or Vibration Analysis and with 0 – 4 years working experience.
- Experience in detail design, drafting or modelling will be an advantage.
- Above average insight into the mechanical operation of machines and equipment. Candidates to demonstrate their abilities by means of examples and their ability to explain this with the help of on-the-spot freehand sketches.
- First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done. Be able to share by means of examples.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, self-starter, “go-getter”.
- Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market services.
- Good report writing skills in the English language.
- Organized and self-disciplined.
- Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B / EB).
WORK DESCRIPTION:
Engineers will be exposed to the detail design and engineering of new plants and of solutions to problems experienced with machinery and pressurized equipment in the petrochemical field. Design work will involve the use FEA tools and working with data obtained from strain gauges, accelerometers, etc. The engineer may also from time to time be involved in the installation of the measurement devices.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The construction manager is fully responsible for the management of the construction portion of a project and report to the Construction Lead.
EXPERTISE & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Tertiary construction management or relevant engineering qualification with at least 10 years’ construction experience is preferred.
- Alternatively, candidates with a recognized trade with at least 10 years’ construction experience.
- SACPCMP registration as a Construction Manager will be an advantage.
- Supervisory Management diploma from a reputable institute would be an advantage.
- Must be very conversant with reading and interpreting of piping ISO’s, P&ID’s, MFD’s and associated mechanical GA drawings.
- Good understanding of QCP’s, welding and quality procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multi-disciplinary construction team and sub-contractors with specific experience relating to piping and mechanical tagged item installation.
- Develop and implement the objectives and responsibilities of the construction team members.
- Ensure compliance to OHS Act and construction regulations.
- Developing of safe working procedures.
- Perform Risk assessments/ Risk management.
- Manage and ensure compliance to quality requirements during construction.
- Execute schedule in conjunction with planner.
- Ensure construction progress is effectively monitored or measured and reported.
- Assist with handover for completion of construction, punch lists and rectification of defects in cooperation with the client and ensure compliance.

- Knowledge of installation specifications.
- Ability to do loop checks and function checks.
- Experience in Quality Control on instrument installations.
- Ability to compile inspection reports, punch lists and handover documentation.
- Knowledge of NOSA/ Safety procedures, OSH Act and ISO 9001 procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Be able to work under pressure.
